Reel Canada : integrated skills through Canadian film / Mohammad Hashemi.
Developed for use with intermediate level ESL students, this resource uses 10 National Film Board films as the focal point of language learning lessons. Each chapter is organized around a film and includes two reading comprehension passages, grammar, the film, academic and creative writing exercises, listening comprehension section with clips taken from popular CBC programs and podcasts, idioms related to the theme of the film, speaking exercises and an exploration of the theme in terms of its Canadian perspective. The audio clips and film are contained in the audio disc and the DVD.
