Summary: The final program in this series asks: What do Canadians think about water? The tragedies in Walkerton and North Battleford have made Canadians aware that public safety cannot be taken lightly. Major floods in Alberta, Quebec and Manitoba highlight the woes of water management and climate change. Climate change will affect the entire world; how are Canadians dealing with changes already occurring? International committees work to address water issues between Canada and the U.S., but much remains unresolved, such as how much water each country can take from the Great Lakes, or Canada's role abroad. Also highlights the struggle for clean water in Yellow Quill, a First Nations community in central Saskatchewan, with research led by Dr. Hans Peterson of the Safe Drinking Water Foundation.
