The new collectors repatriation

Summary: In Part 1 (24 min.), Nika, Tanya and Vince Collison and twenty-three other Haida delegates travel 3,000 miles to New York City to reclaim their ancestors' remains from the American Museum of Natural History. They are invited by the Smithsonian Institution to view and handle precious Haida artefacts housed at the Museum of the American Indian and they have the opportunity to use these pieces in ceremonial dances. Their journey ends with their return to Skidegate and the burial of the centuries-old remains.
