Summary: "All Andy Bryce knew about his great-grandfather was that he lived in a big house in Ottawa, and wrote Canada's first health Code. But when he opened a box of family mementoes, he discovered much more. As Medical Inspector for the Department of Indian Affairs from 1904 to 1913, Dr. Peter Bryce raised the alarm over escalating mortality rates at Residential schools where children who were dying of tuberculosis at excessively high rates.
