Bunny Watson is the head of the research department at a large television network. The network executives hire Richard Sumner, an absent-minded systems engineer, to computerize operations to maximize their efficiency. Bunny fears that Sumner intends to replace her staff with a giant computer. His presence makes the staff nervous and begins to affect her strained romance with network executive Mike Cutler.
