Heart of a champion

Summary: When war is declared against Japan after the bombing of Pearl Harbor, everything changes for the Sakamoto family. There are banished to an isolated internment camp, and Kenji's hopes of becoming an Asahi baseball player like his brother are overtaken by the harsh realities of his new life. Until Kenji finds a field covered with scrap wood and torn tar paper, and gets permission to clean it up and use it to play on.
